Traditional General Practice Services

Our charges reflect the cost of employing and training excellent staff and being able to provide quality traditional general practice to families and our local community six days a week. Gap payments (the difference between your Medicare rebate and what we charge) are low and for your convenience online claiming allows you to claim your rebate on the spot. For example, by using your savings or cheque account your rebate from Medicare will go to your account automatically.

Billing is time based. A standard consult is 10 mins. A long consultation is 20 minutes. An example of a standard consultation is consideration of one problem that involves the doctor completing an examination, taking a history and prescribing treatment or ordering a test. If you have more than one problem it is likely you may need a longer consultation.

Charges may vary from time to time and it is best to discuss this with reception. If you need a procedure the fees and options will be discussed with you.

 

Getting the Results of Any Test or Procedure

The doctor will advise you when we expect your results to arrive at the practice. Call and make an appointment to receive your results and find out what they mean for your care.
